Studying in New Zealand

New Zealand is ranked the 4th Most Peaceful Country, according to the Global Peace Index.

With crime rates much lower than other countries, you can focus on your studies and enjoy everything New Zealand has to offer.

New Zealand students enjoy a healthy study/life balance - some say it’s the best in the world.  You can live in an urban environment within easy reach of New Zealand’s stunning landscape and wide open spaces.

Students in New Zealand are supported to solve problems, process information, work with others, create and innovate. Whichever level you’re studying at, New Zealand can give you a high-quality education that will enable you to achieve your goals.

The New Zealand Government has established special requirements to look after the interests of international students

  •  All courses for international students must be approved and accredited.
  • Students may withdraw from a course within 8 days and receive a refund.
  •    International students enrolling in private institutions have their student fees protected in a government trust account throughout the course (to protect fees in the case of institutional failure).
  •   International students may work for up to 20 hours in any given week during the academic year if they are in full-time study and full-time during holidays.
  •   International students may apply for a one-year work visa following successful completion of their course (subject to any changes in government policy).
  •  Institutions must provide special services to ensure the pastoral care of international students.
  •   An International Education Appeals Authority investigates and rules on complaints which have not been resolved between a student and an institution
